À propos

Learn and paint with celebrated Coast Salish artist, Maynard Johnny Jr: a mini-canvas painting workshop.

About the Artist: Maynard began drawing at the early age of six. He began to work in the Northwest Coast style at the age of seventeen and hopes to learn the art of carving at some time in his artistic career. Johnny has won a number of competitions for art and logo design. Maynard Johnny Jr. is best known for his painting on paper and hide, as well as his prints. He pushes the boundaries of Northwest Coast design to create a contemporary feeling to his work through his design techniques and use of colour. "My passion is to share Coast Salish art with my family, community and beyond. I am very touched when passing down this cultural legacy to my grandchildren."
