Organisateur
Chung Ai Photographic Society
Chung Ai Photographic Society was established in 1974 as a non-profit
Society for Chinese Canadians in Vancouver. The purpose of the
Society is to initiate high artistic standards for photography by
promoting friendship, exchanging ideas, and sharing new knowledge
amongst the members. The Society has been organizing photographic-related seminars, workshops, exhibitions, contests, outings, etc. to
motivate the art of photography within the local Chinese community.
Chung Ai Photographic Society has over 300 members in the Greater
Vancouver and overseas. Most of our members are
photographic hobbyists, but we also have amateur and professional
photographers and photographic lecturers joining our society.
Over the years, our members have been determined to achieve higher
photographic standings. They have won numerous merits and
awards in different open and international photographic competitions.
Some members have received honorary titles from international
photographic bodies such as The Photographic Society of America,
and The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain.
Our Society had been keen on participating and supporting local and
international activities. We have helped organize photographic
activities for the City of Vancouver, arranging Guangzhou-Vancouver
Twin City 30th Anniversary Art Show, Bald Eagle Festival Photo
Competition, holding International Salon of Photography Competition
