The Ross Museum at Heartbeat of the Valley

The Ross Museum invites participants to explore artefacts and enjoy art exhibits by talented local artists from the region, including a Forester Falls Group Art exhibition and a retrospective exhibition by artist Joanne Pratt.

This exhibition is part of artist Don Kwan's Heartbeat of the Valley Community Event. The event will celebrate diversity and spotlight the visual and performative power of the arts within rural communities.

The Ross Museum has four historical buildings, the Ross House which replicates an early pioneer home, an Exhibit Hall with several theme-based collections, a drive shed with implements of the past and St. Aidan’s Historical Church. We have over 2,000 artifacts donated to celebrate local history.

Heartbeat of the Valley by Don Kwan is commissioned as part of Ontario Culture Days' Creatives in Residence series.

Ontario Culture Days

The Ontario Culture Days Festival is an annual celebration of arts, culture and heritage taking place each fall across the province. Each year, we work with organizers of all disciplines to produce this province-wide festival. Organizers host programs throughout Ontario and invite the public to participate for free.

Ontario Culture Days lives at the local level. We support organizers from the smallest hamlets to the largest cities, while coordinating with other national and provincial Culture Days partners. We support the success of our sector colleagues through resources and network development, while highlighting the breadth and heterogeneity of Ontario’s arts and culture to the wider public.
