À propos
This drop-in event is free for everyone and offers a fun-filled day of family-friendly activities that includes the unveiling of a new interpretive easel beside the J.E.H MacDonald House, guided walking tours to former homes of five Group of Seven artists, a En Plein Air event and family-friendly art activities.
The interpretive easel now anchors Thornhill as a key stop along the Group of Seven Touring Route, a broader provincial initiative that fuses together history with stunning landscapes to capture the insights into the Group's inspiration. It features historic context, bilingual storytelling, and a scannable QR code linking to digital resources.
The easel was developed by the Thornhill Historical Society, in partnership with the City of Vaughan and Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. The Thornhill Historical Society has generously donated the easel to the City, through the Thornhill Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Program, to be installed at the J.E.H MacDonald House.
