À propos

Attend an outdoor book-reading and the launch of the Comfort Project exhibition with award-winning novelist, playwright, and Thunder Bay artist, Eleanor Albanese. Eleanor's novel: If Tenderness Be Gold is told from seven different perspectives, one of them being the character Carmella. Carmella also appears in the Comfort Project (currently exhibited in the community room at the AG) in the audio story "Cradle Moon", giving us an in-depth look at her life during a particularly challenging time.

The themes of comfort and the ritual of gathering herbs for tea-making are found in both Cradle Moon and If Tenderness Be Gold. The women bring each other comfort through tea and conversation. They also seek comfort in the natural world, whether it be walking in the forest, practicing folk traditions, moon-gazing, or music and song.

Find yourself brought into the journey of recovering what has been lost with Eleanor through the Comfort Project exhibition, and, the novel: If Tenderness Be Gold (available for purchase at the AG).
