Join us for a Culture Days free workshop! Beamish Bodymind Balancing® is a movement technique focused on improving stability and mobility while increasing mindfulness. Originally developed for professional ballet dancers, the method is adaptable for all levels. We will be using breathing techniques and visualization to release unnecessary tension and focus on engaging specific muscle groups. The course can serve as a complement to other training, and for those looking to practice mindful movement.

The North Vancouver Recreation & Culture Commission was established in 1970 as a partnership between the City of North Vancouver and the District of North Vancouver and we are proud to have served one of Canada's most active and healthy communities since then.

We operate 11 Community Recreation Centres, the North Vancouver Tennis Centre and Centennial Theatre, the North Shore’s largest performing arts theatre. We also manage room and venue bookings for facilities, fields, and outdoor spaces across North Vancouver.

We promote creativity, celebrate diversity and contribute to North Vancouver’s unique sense of place through the provision of cultural services that include a comprehensive Arts & Culture Grants program, cultural planning resources, and a public art program.
