The Yorkton Arts Council is licenced non – profit organization and a registered charity, governed by a Board of Directors elected at the Annual General Meeting. The Yorkton Arts Councils programming includes:

• YAC presents... concert series

• Performing Arts in the Schools (touring through The Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils aka OSAC)

• Visual arts exhibitions of local and emerging artists, and exhibitions through OSAC's "Arts on the Move" touring program and Local Adjudication for emerging visual artists at the Community pARTners Gallery located in the Yorkton Public Library.

• Sunflower Art and Craft Market (established 1979)

• Culture Days

• Yorkton Story Slam – storytelling competition

It is of the organisation's foremost responsibility to develop relevant arts programming that connects the diverse and evolving community in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
