À propos
Richmond Artists Guild and their plein air group Men in Hats invite you to try painting outside in the first of our three FREE events for @CultureDays! Locations have been selected to span and showcase our beautiful community. No instruction but plenty of inspiration, all mediums and ages welcome to paint along or watch. Please respect the space and comfort level of other participants.
Those who’ve never tried it before may want to bring either an easel and painting/drawing materials or a chair and sketchbook or mobile device with a sketching app. Please dress appropriate for the weather, allowing that you feel cooler standing still. Consider a hat and sunscreen for sunny days, a mask, paper towels or wipes for your hands, water and a snack. Please respect the spaces we’ll be visiting, do not trespass beyond public areas and leave nothing behind.
There’s no registration, check in or fee, but as with all events please stay home if you are feeling any symptoms, have been travelling or in contact with anyone who may have been infected. Painters and spectators have plenty of space to spread out and find a vista they like.
Richmond Country Farms is full of excellent painting subjects - plants, vegetable stalls, numerous animals in paddocks, scenic buildings including the adjacent Country Vines winery & patio. The Sunflower/Dahlia festival might still be on, but as that is a ticketed event there is a small extra fee if you want to visit those fields.
