A Walk and Talk tour with Dr. Leo J. Omani (Dakota Knowledge Keeper) will start at the Prince Albert Historical Museum at 10:00 AM. After reviewing the local Dakota history at the museum participants will car pool out to the original Wahpetonwan Dakota Village site at Little Red River Park to continue the Walk and Talk tour.
If you don’t have access to a vehicle, please contact us and we might be able to arrange a ride for you. If you are able to give someone else a ride please let us know.

The Prince Albert Historical Society operates the Prince Albert Historical Museum; Evolution of Education Museum; Rotary Museum of Police and Corrections; and the John and Olive Diefenbaker Museum, a National Historic Site, in partnership with the City of Prince Albert. The Bill Smiley Archive is housed at the Historical Museum and is available for public research.
