Arabo-Andalusian Vibes features a performance by Riad Barbara, a Professional Oud (Luth) player. He was previously member of the Fine Arts of Algiers Algeria and has performed with various artists and groups performed different concerts around the world.
Join us for this performance to experience a musical trip through the history of Arabo-Andalusian music, with the following highlights:
• Introduction to Middle Eastern Music: Explore the ancient musical traditions of the Middle East and their early influences.
• The Andalusian Golden Age: Discover the vibrant musical culture of Al-Andalus, known for its blend of Arab, Berber, and Iberian influences and its development of unique musical forms.
• The Reconquista and Its Impact: Explore the impact of the Reconquista on Arabic music in Spain and how the resulting cultural shifts influenced the evolution of music in North Africa.
