I will be demonstrating texturing copper using metal stamps and texturing hammers. I work mainly with copper and sterling silver. Many of my pieces are textured using metal stamps, texture hammers, laser etched paper using the rolling mill, texture plates and etching in designs using ferric chloride. The pieces are then enhanced by using the torch to create colour or using patinas such as liver of sulfur, or Black Max. Also, I use the technique Keumboo which uses gold foil fused on sterling silver. The gold design is enhanced by using the patina liver of sulfur. I will have many pieces of jewelry which illustrate each technique on display and for sale as well as leather bags from recycled leather coats and small bags.

Waterfront Arts Fair

The Waterfront Arts Fair will be a collaborative effort of individual artists, arts groups, organizations and guilds who will be coming together to perform, demonstrate, promote, share and sell their creations. The Fair will be showcasing and celebrating the vibrant Arts and Culture within our community and providing a rare view of the hard work, dedication, skill development, imagination, and self-expression involved in the creation process.

Attendees will be dazzled by live performances throughout the day, the opportunity to meet local artists and watch them demonstrate their processes at the vendors market area and also participate in a variety of hands on family friendly activities.
