À propos
The St. Catharines and Niagara Regional Twinning Association is proud to be participating in the 2023 Culture Days festivities. On Saturday October 14th join us from 7am to 1pm at Market Square for some fun making friendship bracelets and masquerade masks. Not familiar with the St. Catharines Twinning Association? Chat with one of our members and find out more about what the Association does. While visiting you may even get a chance to listen and dance a bit to the steel drums.
Twin City
An official Twinning Ceremony took place on October 4, 1968 to recognize and celebrate the similarities of the City of St. Catharines and the City of Port of Spain, the capital of Trinidad and Tobago. The event was held in Port of Spain and declared under the United Nations the Mundialization of St. Catharines and the Twinning of our two cities. The Twinning Association has by understanding and appreciating each other's cultures and people's, celebrating our commonalities and our differences, broken the bonds of race, colour and creed, forging friendships into family for the past 55 years. It is the mission of the St. Catharines Twinning Association to seek an understanding of other cultures and societies; to explore common interests, educational, and business opportunities by holding their hands out in friendship to like-minded people in other communities.
