Folding Doves of Hope - In this Culture Days event, participants will learn how to fold a traditional origami dove and be able to contribute to the creation of an artistic installation of origami doves that symbolize hope.

Peyton Leung will be providing a "How To Make Origami" video to assist you with making our own origami.

Pick up your origami kits at the City of Pickering's Central Library during operating hours from September 24 - October 11. These kits will equip you with origami paper to make your creations. We ask that you drop off your origami creations of hope back to the Central Library by October 12th at 12:00 pm.

The "Folding Doves of Hope" origami installation will be displayed from October 12th -24th at City Hall, featuring all of your creations and those of Peyton Leung.

Be sure to write a message of hope in each of your origami pieces.
