À propos

Cooking Up Culture: Soup & Bannock is a hands-on cultural event where community members are invited to gather, learn, and share together. Guests can expect an afternoon filled with food, stories, and meaningful connection.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to prepare traditional soup and bannock, guided by Grandma Sherry, who will share her knowledge, teachings, and stories. This interactive experience allows attendees not only to enjoy a delicious meal but also to understand the cultural significance of these foods within Indigenous communities.

Alongside the cooking, participants will take part in storytelling and cultural sharing, offering space to celebrate Indigenous traditions, values, and history in an engaging and welcoming way. The event is designed to be family-friendly, with babysitting services provided so parents and caregivers can fully participate.

By attending, the public can expect a warm, inclusive environment where everyone is welcome to learn, taste, and celebrate together. Spaces are limited, so pre-registration is required to ensure that all who attend have the chance to fully enjoy this cultural gathering.
