🧡 Truth and Reconciliation Day 🧡

Monday, September 30th | 5:30 – 7:30 PM

Location: 2332 11th Ave (Western Region III Community Space)

Join us in honouring the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day dedicated to remembering the past, reflecting on the experiences of Residential School Survivors, and moving forward together in a spirit of healing. Everyone is welcome to attend, learn, and participate in meaningful activities that promote understanding and community connection.

🌿 Children’s Story Time & Kindness Tree

Children will enjoy age-appropriate stories that teach empathy, respect, and kindness. Afterward, they can contribute to our Kindness Tree by writing messages of hope and reconciliation on leaves, creating a collective symbol of care and unity.

🎥 Stories & Video for Adults

Attendees will have the opportunity to watch powerful testimonies from Residential School Survivors, alongside a thoughtful video presentation that explores our shared history. This segment encourages reflection, conversation, and a deeper appreciation of the resilience and strength within Indigenous communities.

🍽️ Traditional Métis Meal

Gather together to enjoy a warm, traditional Métis meal featuring Les Boulettes (meatballs) and Li Beignes (fry bread). Sharing food is an important part of community connection and cultural celebration.

🧡 Wear orange to show your support for Survivors and their families. Every child matters.
