À propos

Come meet the artist in residence at Richmond Nature Park, and see the behind the scenes of all the amazing artworks created with the community. Enjoy the stories, illustrations, and photos collected from Hidden Stories, an interactive installation, as well as a sneak peek of a book on Newton the Newt. The public is invited to join in, and draw from the perspective of Newton, a small creature who cannot see, or hear well. Drawing supplies, paints, and inks made from invasive plant species found at the park will be provided.

The Interpreter Project is a year-long community engagement art project inspired by Wen Wen (Cherry) Lu, the Artist-In-Residence at Richmond Nature Park. The project is presented in partnership with the Richmond Nature Park and is part of the Richmond Public Art’s 2019 Engaging Artists in Community Program. The program aims to support artists with socially-oriented practices and encourages the development of a wide variety of art forms for artists working within communities.
