À propos

During Welcoming Week, we invite everyone to wear traditional clothing that reflects their cultural heritage. Whether it’s a cherished family garment, a piece representing ancestral roots, or something that symbolizes personal identity, Global Threads is about honouring the rich diversity that exists within our communities.

We believe this simple yet powerful gesture can spark meaningful conversations, foster belonging, and visually celebrate the many cultures that make up our shared spaces.

Let's recognize and bring together neighbours of all backgrounds to build strong connections and affirm the importance of welcoming and inclusive places in achieving collective prosperity. Celebrate "Global Threads" by wearing traditional clothing on September 19. Ask about your friends' and neighbours' clothing! And find out more about the stories we share.
