À propos

Close your eyes for a moment and imagine the gentle movement of water, the shimmer of light on the surface, and the rhythm of your own breath. This is where the Fairy Lake Meditation begins—with intention, sensory awareness, and an invitation to land in the moment. Seated on a bench by the lake, participants are guided to slow down, breathe deeply, and rest into the presence of the water.

Guided by Chantal Garneau, municipal councillor, meditation artist, and skilled facilitator, this experience blends mindfulness, nature connection, and a philosophy of interconnection. It offers a way to feel grounded and uplifted, relaxed and renewed, all at once. It is not about striving, but about remembering: you already belong.

As part of the 10th anniversary of Culture Days, we are re-releasing the Becoming Present in Halton Hills digital meditations. Originally created during COVID, this program invited visitors to access site-specific guided meditations through QR codes at local natural spaces, or to listen online. In 2021, Chantal and the Town of Halton Hills were recognized as Ontario Culture Days Award Runner-Up for Best Digital Program for Becoming Present in Hungry Hollow.

Now, the meditations are available once again—downloadable through Spotify or by scanning a QR code at Fairy Lake in Acton.

This guided meditation series launches on Sept 26 at 6 PM and will remain available throughout Culture Days.

Come as you are. The lake will meet you there.
