À propos
Reconciliation is a big word. The Elders remind us that it is a process, a journey without one single road or a final destination. It is not always easy or comfortable and it is sometimes confusing and frustrating, yet worth every step. We have a story to share about our reconciliation journey – its highs, its lows, its emotions and the unimaginable gifts discovered along the way. Join us on this journey. Reconciliation starts with Thu-itstuhw [Telling the Truth]
Choose your journey:
-A walk-through multimedia gallery (free admission) in the CVAC Gallery
-A youth art exhibit
-A deep immersive 3-hour exploration (Ticketed option)
-Or, experience all three
Presented by Social Planning Cowichan

Organisateur
Cowichan Valley Arts Council
The Cowichan Valley Arts Council infuses art and culture into the lives and aspirations of our community. As a not-for-profit community art gallery and studio, we showcase established artists, and welcome new talent to our space. From world-class exhibitions, to workshops, meetings and guest speakers, no matter what it is you’re drawn to, there is much to be found here.
Founded in 1979, we have grown from a small local gallery, to a dynamic facility, that includes a Gallery, Annex and Studio space. While we have evolved, what remains the same is our purpose – to make the arts accessible to all.
We are a close-knit community of Board Members, staff, artisans, and patrons, bolstered by the support of our volunteers who work tirelessly to turn a vision into reality.
We believe in the extraordinary potential of the arts to enrich and engage a community.
Mission statement: The purpose of the Cowichan Valley Arts Council is to enrich community through the lens of arts and culture.
