À propos

The centre piece of the Steveston Tram is the beautifully restored Tram Car 1220. During Culture Days, climb aboard Tram Car 1220 one of the original trams that ran on Richmond’s rail system. It took volunteers and experts three years to restore the tram car.

On weekends during Culture Days, discover the stories behind the restoration of Tram Car 1220 to its original brilliance. Every weekend there will be an art project or scavenger hunt related to the tram that children can create and take home. Please note: we will be closed to the public on Saturday, September 30.

On Saturday, October 7, the vintage BC Transit Museum bus will be parked near the Steveston Tram. Explore both Tram Car 1220 and the vintage bus and discover why the trams stopped running and what came next in Richmond. Then enjoy additional family activities inspired by the Tram's restoration.

Steveston Tram

The Steveston Tram museum features Tram Car 1220, one of the original trams that ran on Richmond's interurban rail system. Today the immaculately restored tram car and the building that houses it allow visitors to experience authentic interurban rail travel and discover the importance of early 20th century transportation.
