Directions: Free parking will be available at all lots and meters (garages and permit lots excluded) on Friday, September 29, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for staff coming from other City facilities and for members of the community to attend the event, as well as to check out the St. Catharines Library Indigenous book collection, which will be on display.

All are welcome to attend the commemorative event taking place on the front lawn of City Hall. The Niagara Regional Native Centre (NRNC) will be at the event to say a few words along with Indigenous singers to provide song for reflection. Mayor Mat Siscoe will also be on-site to provide a speech. The Every Child Matter flag will be raised and lowered. The flag is inclusive of all Indigenous communities, and reiterates the importance of bringing awareness to the residential school system. Those attending are encouraged to wear orange.
