À propos

The Little Library of What? is a community project by Natali Leduc, one of the Artists in Residence in Maple Ridge. It is similar to a community little library, except that all the books are written by people from the community.

This is an invitation to anyone living in Maple Ridge to participate. Everyone is welcome: all ages, and abilities. There is a lot of flexibility in terms of format, content, language, and pace… and it’s FREE to participate!

This is an opportunity for you to write a book and share it with the rest of the community. You will make 4 copies of your book: one for you, one for the illustrator (if you illustrate your own book, that means you’ll get 2 copies), one for a little library at the Fern Crescent Artist Residence location, and another copy for a mobile library that will travel in the community to schools, retirement homes, community events, and Maple Ridge Library.

You can decide to either write, illustrate, edit or bind books. You can also do all of the steps, if you are interested. We will start during Culture Days in September-October and complete them by December 2020.

For more information, please watch the video below.

You can follow this project and others on Facebook at facebook.com/FernCrescent. Contact Natali Leduc at [email protected] if you have further questions.

The Artist in Residence Program is supported through the City’s Public Art Committee and Maple Ridge Parks, Recreation & Culture.
