À propos
Two innovative, large-scale Public Art installations featuring a roster of acclaimed international and GTA artists in this creative district. ArtWalk located in the heart of Vaughan exhibits four bold street art-inspired murals painted over the entire 30,000
square foot façade of a vacant retail building, infusing a dynamic liveliness. The theatrical PXL Gallery, a monumental 10,000 square foot LED light wall installed on the south façade of Transit City Tower 3 on the west side of Millway Avenue between Portage Parkway and Apple Mill Road, reveals a fusion of high-tech, low-resolution digital media by renowned digital artists, activated nightly through rotating exhibits of curated moving artwork
Organisateur
City of Vaughan
With a population of more than 340,000 residents, Vaughan is one of the fastest growing communities in Canada, home to more than 217 ethnic or cultural origins with 113 different languages spoken. It is a vibrant, diverse, inclusive and equity-based community that recognizes and celebrates arts, culture and heritage.
We recognize that Vaughan is situated in the Territory and Treaty 13 lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We also recognize the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat and the Haudenosaunee. The City of Vaughan is currently home to many First Nations, Métis and Inuit people today. As representatives of the people of the City of Vaughan, we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and live in this territory.
