A self-guided tour of Regent Avenue, Transcona's old business district. This tour takes approx. 30 minutes and includes 20 buildings and sites of interest located along Regent Avenue from Winona Street to Kanata Street. All photographs featured in this tour are courtesy of the Transcona Museum & Archives. The tour can be viewed through your computer or mobile device.

The heart of Transcona's vibrant history and culture.

The Transcona Museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting the community heritage of Transcona and the surrounding Springfield district through our collections, exhibitions, and programs. Our yearly rotating displays feature the history of the community, the railroad industry, settler life, Indigenous cultures, and the natural history of the area.

The Transcona Museum is located at 141 Regent Avenue West, the site of a historic 1925 building that originally served as the Bank of Toronto and later the Transcona Municipal Office. On July 14th, 1980 the building was designated a Class III Heritage Building by the City of Winnipeg.
