À propos

We are happy to announce a collaborative event with the Centre culturel francophone de l'Okanagan. Historian Maurice Guibord, President of the Société historique francophone de la Colombie-Britannique, will be giving a presentation at the Westbank Museum on the history of Francophone culture in the Okanagan. This presentation will be followed by a musical showcase with local artist & BC Culture Days Ambassador, Élodie Orsei, who has recently released her first EP album, French Toast.

Organisateur

Westbank Museum & Visitor Centre in collaboration with the Centre culturel francophone de l'Okanagan

Our mission at the Westbank Museum is to be a cultural centre for the community and provide a repository dedicated to the ongoing collection, preservation, and interpretation of Westbank and the history of the surrounding area.

Our vision is to provide inclusive and equitable care that listens to and better represents the history, stories, and experiences in Westbank and the surrounding communities.

We have taken a proactive role in the community by becoming the annual organizer of the Westside Multiculturalism Day which takes place in June, and by coordinating events like this one for Culture Days by collaborating with local community groups in the Okanagan to share their culture, stories and perspectives.
