À propos
Terry Fox entered Brampton on July 24, 1980, during the Marathon of Hope. The City celebrates Terry Fox as a Canadian athlete, humanitarian, and cancer research activist, honouring his contributions not only through the existing Terry Fox Stadium, walking track, and community events flag-raising program but also by embracing his legacy as a beacon of vibrant, enduring spirit.
To further celebrate Terry Fox, the City has commissioned a memorial public artwork which will be unveiled this fall, coinciding with the 45th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope. The community is encouraged to attend - all are welcome!
