À propos
The Richmond Museum’s exciting new exhibition, The Maple Road Experience is about how one kid’s passion for skateboarding sparked something big. With the support of his parents, Kevin Harris built one of the most legendary backyard half pipe ramps around—creating a community of skaters that, like him, would go on to achieve amazing things.
Visitors will enjoy hands-on and interactive elements that immerse them in skateboarding culture, including vintage boards, photos, and video footage that bring the Maple Road ramp back to life. They will also get a glimpse of stardom through Harris’s eyes as he traveled the world with Powell-Peralta’s infamous Bones Brigade.
The Maple Road Experience runs from September 20, 2025 to August 16, 2026 at the Richmond Museum
Operating hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends. Admission is by donation.

Richmond Museum
The Richmond Museum is operated collaboratively by the Richmond Museum Society and City of Richmond. The Museum’s vision is to make the history of Richmond relevant, engaging and accessible.
To support this vision, the Museum collects, documents, researches, preserves, exhibits and interprets objects of historical and cultural significance to the development and history of Richmond.
As storytellers, collectors and educators, our goal is to create moments of wonder and understanding. Our exhibitions tell the many fascinating stories of Richmond; our collections are windows into how we live, past and present; our education programs open minds, young and old; and our work inspires action for a healthy community and planet.
