À propos

Chris Perez is a mural artist whose work celebrates the local community and environment by incorporating familiar shapes and forms inspired by nature. His recent mural in Oakville reflects the variety of personal experiences and surroundings he encountered during his time in the area. Drawing from Oakville’s waterfront and local businesses, his color palette features vibrant blues and bright tones. Through his use of cutout illustrative elements, Perez creates artwork that is approachable, friendly, and easily recognizable, making public art accessible to all.

Building on the success of previous years, the Town of Oakville has once again invited a fresh cohort of talented artists to bring colour and creativity to the streets by showcasing their artwork on Traffic Signal Cabinet Boxes. This year, seven Traffic Signal Boxes across Oakville will feature striking designs, each offering a unique artistic interpretation of the community’s essence. Through this initiative, Oakville continues to foster public art that reflects its vibrant culture and encourages local pride.
