À propos
Sameer Choksi, an Ontario-based artist and illustrator, arrived in Canada in 1998, infusing his work with the richness of Indian cultural heritage. Drawing from his Graphic arts training, he delved into visual narrative storytelling traditions. In 2018, he found his passion in wood as a medium, mastering pyrography and engraving techniques. With adept skill, he employs single or multiple planks, embracing unpolished textures for dynamic visuals. Purposefully embracing the natural imperfections of wood, he weaves them into his imagery. Choksi's creations are an exquisite blend of cultural homage and artistic innovation, inviting you to explore his masterful world where tradition meets texture.
