À propos
Spanning a musical life with hardcore beginnings, to the somber strings of his acoustic guitar in his country-folk infused solo project, Spencer Burton is a mainstay musical virtuoso.
Consider the tales of Spencer Burton, an Ontario boy, raised across the country in beautiful British Columbia with a hankering for travel, farm life and the great beyond, Burton’s upbringings are as sincere as his demeanor.
Teenage years of strumming in the Welland, ON music scene would blossom his twenty-somethings into constant road mileage playing in the critically lauded Attack In Black. Cities upon cities, always moving, writing, performing, Burton’s experiences were absorbed along the way. Sometimes shrewd, often reflective, his occurrences had callused into their own form of beauty.
Organisateur
FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre
The FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre is a large purpose-built cultural complex located in downtown St. Catharines, Ontario. It opened in 2015 as the result of a partnership between the City of St. Catharines and Brock University, which share the venue for production, performance and learning purposes. It comprises four separate venues: a 770-seat concert hall (Partridge Hall), 300-seat recital hall, 210-seat multi-purpose dance/theatre venue (Robertson Theatre), and the 199-seat Film House.
The creation of the centre spurred a cultural and economic renaissance in downtown St. Catharines along with its neighbouring Meridian Centre and Brock University's Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts.
