À propos

In partnership with TransLink and BC Transit, Read Local BC presents the launch of this year’s Poetry In Transit campaign at Word Vancouver. Now celebrating its 28th year, this beloved community-engagement project displays the work of ten BC poets on public transit vehicles throughout the province. Join us to hear a selection of the featured 2024-25 poets read from their work, followed by a short discussion and Q&A in which you can engage with the poets over your love of the written verse! Hosted by Evelyn Lau. With readings by Michelle Brown, Dina Del Bucchia , Svetlana Ischenko, Christopher Levenson, Bradley Peters , Andrea Scott, and Tiffany Stone.

Organisateur

Word Vancouver and Read Local BC

Word Vancouver, Western Canada’s largest literary arts festival, marks the 30th anniversary this year and returns from September 8 to September 28, 2024. It is a free and family-friendly event that brings together established and emerging authors, aspiring writers, literary exhibitors, and book-lovers from across the Lower Mainland.

Launched in 2015 by the Association of Book Publishers of BC, Read Local BC is a project that celebrates the vibrant community of authors, publishers, bookstores, and libraries that make up our province’s literary landscape.
