WHAT IS HERITAGEBURNABY.CA?
Tuesday, September 29, 7-8pm
Join us for this interactive session about how to use the City’s free online resource: www.heritageburnaby.ca. Learn how to search more than 100,000 records including photographs, video, council minutes, maps and archival records – all about Burnaby.
Please bring your research topics and interests to this session, as Catharine and Kate will be taking requests to get you started on your research. Alternatively, you can submit your Burnaby-focused research questions in advance to [email protected]. We will take up as many as we can cover in the allotted time.
Presenters: Catharine McPherson, Museum Registrar, and Kate Petrusa, Assistant Curator at Burnaby Village Museum
All Speaker Series sessions are available live by joining the Zoom link below or visiting the Burnaby Village Museum's Facebook page.

We are a place Where History Comes to Life – stroll down the streets of our 1920s tram-stop community. Period costumed townsfolk welcome visitors and give demonstrations in the homes, businesses and shops. Popular stops include a chat with the blacksmith, a demonstration in the print shop and a visit with the clerk at the General store. The restored Interurban #1223 is a must see and a whirl on the historic 1912 CW Parker Carousel is a thrill. Amenities include picnic tables, a gift shop and an ice-cream parlour offering meals and snacks.
