À propos
In celebration of culture days and our community's heritage, join the Maple Ridge Museum this fall at our first offsite exhibit! "The Bee's Knees" will be showcased at the ACT Arts Centre for 8 weeks, starting in mid September 2021. This exhibition will explore the changing social landscape of the 1920s through the lens of fashion. The roaring twenties often conjures images of beaded dresses, glamorous parties, and life in the big city... but what was it like in Maple Ridge during that time? Through the clothing, textiles, accessories, and photographs on display, you will learn about the social movements and scandalous trends that made this decade so captivating. Maple Ridge Historical Society
Dedicated to preserving local history since 1957, the Maple Ridge Historical Society operates the Maple Ridge Museum and the Haney House Museum. The Maple Ridge Museum has been open, just off Haney Bypass, since the early 1980s and it houses a permanent collection, a temporary gallery, and an incredible train model of 1920s Port Haney. We preserve and maintain a large collection of historic artifacts, photographs, and archival records, while engaging the community through special events, educational programs, and outreach opportunities.
