Tara Cooper was the city of Kitchener 2025 Artist in Residence during which time she engaged with the community of the Doon area to support the design of a permanent public art installation to be sited at Doon Pioneer Park Community Centre. Inspired by the idea and symbolism of a potluck and the folktale 'Stone Soup', which emphasizes the power of cooperation and generosity, Tara collaborated with the Doon community to develop the concept for the installation.

Join us at the unveiling of the installation and celebrate with the artist during the Doon Fair hosted by the Doon Pioneer Park Community Centre and Kitchener Public Library Pioneer Park location. Interactive, family friendly art activities and more promise lots of fun!
