About this Event
The National Film Board of Canada, in collaboration with the London Cross Cultural Learner Centre (CCLC) presents five films produced by the Quebec and Atlantic Studio.
The feature presentation Angel Peacock follows 12-year-old Dawod, a CCLC client, through his first year in his new surroundings in London.
The community is encouraged to join in for the screening of the following films:
ANGEL PEACOCK 25 minutes
A film by Peter Svatek
A short Q&A will follow the screening.
HAND. LINE. COD. 13 minutes
A secret mission on Fogo Island.
ICE BREAKERS 15 minutes
A beautiful untold hockey story.
BALAKRISHNA 15 minutes
An unexpected meeting of an elephant and a boy in 1967 rural Nova Scotia.
RESILIENCE 10 minutes
A snapshot of kids finding new ground inside London's CCLC.
A reception will following the films with light refreshments.

The London Cross Cultural Learner Centre has been operating in London since 1968. During the first 12 years, the CCLC was part of the University of Western Ontario and services focused primarily on providing education and information to the community on global and international development issues. The CCLC was the first Global Education Centre in Canada, funded through the Public Participation Program of Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
