Join authors Terri-Lynn Williams-Davidson and Robert Davidson for a conversation about A Haida Wedding, an inspiring exploration of Haida culture, tradition, and resilience. Through stories and photographs from their wedding, Terri-Lynn and Robert will share the photographs and stories of the first traditional Haida marriage recognized under Haida law in more than a century and the revival of a ceremony nearly lost through colonialism. Discover the significance of the customs, symbolism, and community that surround Haida marriage, and the enduring importance of reclaiming and celebrating cultural traditions.

The Ryga Festival Society operates an annual 5-day festival in Summerland, BC, operating on the mandate of advocating for social justice through the arts. In the off-season we are planning the year's coming festival, working on a residency program, and engaging in off-season workshops.
