À propos

The artists offer about their exhibition:

Work and illness often invite stress and anxiety into our lives. When vision loss ended my engineering career and threatened my well-being, I turned to painting as a coping mechanism. With low vision, I chose distant landscapes with fewer details. Using canvas and brush as substitutes for flatscreen and mouse, I "created" nature and reconnected with the marvelous ecosystem we all depend on. It also connected me with my daughter Carina, who tried her own hand at painting. Hopefully, our work inspires others to make room for art and nature in their busy lives.

A vibrant and impressive community within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), the Town of Oakville is a beautiful lakeside town with a strong heritage, preserved and celebrated by residents and visitors alike. Since the 1800s, it has become one of the most coveted areas to live and work in Ontario, with 225,000 residents calling Oakville home.
