À propos

Step into the rhythm of Tinikling – the Philippines’ most iconic bamboo dance! The Philippine Cultural Arts Society of BC (PhilCAS) is offering two free “Try It!” classes as part of Culture Days:

Sunday, September 21 –

Adults (ages 18+)

Children & Preteens (ages 6–12)

Participants will learn the basics of this lively traditional bamboo dance while exploring the cultural stories and traditions behind it. Our instructors will guide you step-by-step in a fun, safe, and beginner-friendly environment – no prior experience needed.

If you enjoy your Culture Days class, you can continue learning with us through the City of Richmond’s fall programs at the Cultural Centre. Weekly classes will introduce both crowd favourites like Binasuan and Tinikling, as well as lesser-known but equally beautiful dances such as Sublian and Aray.

Come try Tinikling with us – it’s lively, interactive, and a joyful way to celebrate culture together!
