À propos

Anthony Taulbut (1874-1949) was many things: an avid collector, historian, explorer and pioneer. He was a passionate and eccentric man who had an insatiable curiosity and a lifelong dedication to learning. He led a busy and dedicated life in which the pursuit of knowledge was ever present. His great contributions to the conservation of history went hand in hand with his sense of community. Mr. Taulbut had a profound and positive impact on those around him and the community he loved.

This video presentation will take the viewer on a virtual behind the scenes journey through artifacts housed at the Mission Museum. The virtual tour will focus specifically on those artifacts donated from the extensive collection of Anthony Taulbut - the collection that formed the original core of the Museum’s collection of artifacts!

Mission Museum

The Mission Museum is located at 33201 Second Avenue (corner of Second avenue and Welton Street) in the historic downtown core of Mission, British Columbia, Canada. The museum is operated by the Mission District Historical Society, a registered charitable non-profit society dedicated to “Recording our History, Educating the Community, Preserving our Heritage.”

The Mission Museum exists for the purpose of preserving the history of Mission by way of the collection, preservation, documentation, research and interpretation of three-dimensional objects related to our community’s history, and making it available to the public through exhibits, events and public programming. Our collection consists of over 10,000 artifacts which have been donated to the Museum by businesses, organizations and individual members of the community.
