Mexican Day of the Dead Music - Exploring "Cempasuchil (Marigold Flower)"

Sunday, October 24

Sessions begin at 1:00 pm, 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm

In-Person, indoors at Market Square, 91 King St., corner of King and James streets

Presented by the Mexicans in Niagara Group with musical guests Luis Molina Gonzales and Damian Romero Estrada

Expect to spend 60 minutes participating

Suitable for all ages, adult companion required

You’re invited to join in the celebration and be immersed in Mexican Cultural Heritage by exploring traditional “Day of the Dead.” Learn the meaning of the song "Cempasuchil (Marigold Flower)" in Spanish and English and sing along with the live music. You will also learn about ceremonial traditions and music including how to make an offering to celebrate the "Dia de Muertos."

You can also participate in Arts and Crafts (see other listing). Participate in a variety of hands-on workshops where you can decorate your own sugar skull and make a decorative frame and picture.

Drop-in, no registration required, all are welcome.

Celebrate with the Mexicans in Niagara Group as they celebrate the exhibition of Offrenda (offerings) and present a live music performance.
