À propos
As part of the Connextions 2025 project, see Hyedie Hashimoto's vinyl artworks, Roses & Bees and Peonies & Bees, on display outside of Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre.
Hyedie offers the following description of her work:
Roses & Bees and Peonies & Bees are part of my Dreamscapes watercolour series, which captures local flora through dreamy, layered colour washes. Delicate white silhouettes of pollinators float above the blooms, highlighting the diverse insects that play a vital role in the life cycle of our local vegetation. This series celebrates both the beauty of our environment and the essential, often-overlooked relationships that sustain it.
