Ballet Jörgen is inviting you into the studio to experience a live rehearsal of our repertoire. Learn about what goes into bringing ballets from the studio to the stage. Moderated by the Company's Artistic Director Bengt Jörgen, you’ll get behind-the-scenes details on the rehearsal process and have a chance to get all your questions answered!

Ballet Jörgen Canada (BJC, also known as Jörgen Dance) was founded in 1987 to support the development and dissemination of Canadian choreography and, since its inception, BJC has exclusively danced works created for the company by Canadian and Canada-based choreographers. BJC has produced a total of 229 original creations by 92 choreographers. BJC’s extensive repertoire of full-length ballets, children’s ballets and shorter contemporary works has enabled the Company to become Canada’s most active touring arts organization and, to date, has reached 283 different communities in Canada and 60 in the US.
The company specializes in reaching underserved communities, and effectively reaches households with income of under $35,000. While we are firmly rooted in our history as an exceptional professional ballet company, we have grown to be so much more! Today we offer a wide range of training and community programs across many dance styles to ensure dance is truly accessible for all Canadians. Whether you are looking to attend a performance, learn to dance, or engage with the arts for the first time; there is something for you under the Jörgen Dance umbrella. You will be welcomed, educated, entertained, and be a respected member of our in-person and virtual community. As an organization we genuinely believe in our motto: Dance for All.
