The Oakville Historical Society worked with the Downtown Oakville Business Improvement Association and a couple of interns to identify historical buildings still standing with current businesses in them. Historical write-ups were developed, QR codes were created linking to the write-ups. Decals were made up and placed in from of the buildings inviting people walking by to open the QR code and learn a little bit about Oakville's history.
