Nestled in the heart of this historic neighbourhood, the garden is lovingly maintained by dedicated volunteers.Spread out a blanket on the grass and take in the scenic views of Ford City while live music drifts through the air. Whether you're lounging under the trees or tucked beside the blooms, this is a moment to slow down, connect with community, and enjoy the simple magic of summer in the garden.

The Panier Picnic @ Ford City Community Garden will have an acoustic musical performance by pop/soul singer/songwriter Crissi Cochrane, sponsored by the Ford City BIA.

Panier Picnic is a loosely organized picnic event that celebrates gathering in public space, using active modes of transit, and discovering small local grocers along the way. The simple invitation to connect with and discover the diversity of your community, helps to support a more sustainable approach to urban living.

Mean Studio is an architecture and design firm based in Toronto and Windsor, Canada. We are a discipline comprised of experienced professionals with backgrounds in architecture, urban design, sculpture, and photography. We have a range of experience researching and implementing projects locally and internationally. The practice operates on a range of scales, from the object to the urban. We approach each project as an integral and meaningful piece of a broader context. In the constantly evolving dynamic of cities and communal spaces, where no act of design is neutral, this means navigating physical and regulatory challenges and testing the status quo to create moments which act as seeds of impactful, positive change.
