The Glenn Gould School / Royal Conservatory of Music
The Glenn Gould School (GGS) offers gifted young artists the optimum conditions in which to develop their talents and to find their individual voices. It is named after Royal Conservatory alumnus Glenn Gould because he exemplified excellence and creativity at the highest possible level. Gould was also a pioneer in exploring the frontiers of performance practice through technology and multimedia, in an effort to broaden the possibilities of communication and understanding between human beings.
The GGS is one of the few post-secondary music schools in North America dedicated exclusively to performance. With a maximum enrollment of 130, students have as many performance opportunities as they can prepare for, and virtually unlimited access to practice studios. Faculty members are all highly regarded performers in their own right, as well as gifted and committed teachers. The facilities are superb and the financial assistance is competitive.
The GGS is the ideal destination for a student who has made a conscious decision to pursue a career as an instrumentalist or singer. With its small scale, internationally recognized faculty, and immersive performance environment, GGS students have access to everything they need to fulfill their dreams.
