This family-friendly free event will follow the Pop Up Picnic at the North Bay Discovery Museum parkside.
Bring a kite. Share some fun with others, events include face painting and balloon animals, cultural games, music workshops from the International Drum and Dance performers during the afternoon outside the Museum.
Join us for a series of workshops developing kites and wind art in September.
Kite Workshop #1 at Chancellor Residence for International Students Only - Sept. 15th 12:00 - 2:00.
Kite Workshop #2 @176 Lakeshore for the public Sunday, Sept. 22nd 12:00-200.
Kites will be made and flown after the picnic on the hills behind the museum. You are invited to bring a kite or make a kite and fly it with us. Colours of the Wind will give you a chance to bring your own kite, make a kite on-site and fly.
This event includes an area with picnic tables and craft supplies for developing your own wind art and learning about kites in several cultures. Other activities will be available for families, international students and anyone interested in playing and sharing together outdoors.
All Culture Days events are free.

UNIK Theatre is the organizer of the International Drum and Dance Festival in North Bay, PEACE School is an alternative school project, the Nipissing Regional Curatorial Collective is a regional arts organization and runs studio space and exhibits at 176 Lakeshore.
