Eden Valley Days - Day 1
September 27, 2019
Eden Valley Alberta
For the beginning of a fun-filled weekend, the community of Eden Valley will have an opening ceremonies which is aligned with cultural protocol to start the weekend in a good way that honours all aspects of Eden Valley and the culture of the people. We invite everyone to come share a meal and then attend our Family Two Step Dance with live music from the community band - Highwood Ramblers. In the spirit of friendship the band Pay Dirt will also be joining the celebration of the Two Step. There will be activities for the kids, food and craft vendors for everyone to enjoy. A family event that kicks off the weekend to honour Alberta Culture Days.

Bearspaw Nation Eden Valley
The community of Eden Valley would like to showcase who we are as the people of Eden Valley and part of the Stoney-Nakoda First Nation. The Stoney-Nakoda bands have lived in the region for thousands of years. In our language we are known as the Iyarhe Nakoda or "the people of the mountains". Eden Valley residents belong to the Bearspaw First Nation. The Bearspaw people are part of the Stoney Nakoda Nation which is also made up of the Chiniki and Wesley people.
