Activity: Using paper, washi tape, markers and straws, children will craft a "blowing-powered" decorated paper rocket.

The Oakville Arts Council is a not-for-profit charitable organization that serves a membership of artists, arts organizations, and the general public, as an arts information service in Oakville. We exist to foster and sustain community engagement in the arts while championing artistic development. By enabling local artists and arts organizations and encouraging participation in the arts we enrich the creative life of our town. The arts are vital to achieving a healthy, innovative and vibrant community.

The Town of Oakville’s Recreation and Culture Department supports the development of the creative and cultural community in Oakville by providing quality programs and services; enhancing community capacity; and increasing access to programs and services. There are a number of active cultural facilities owned and operated by the town, including the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, Oakville Museum and Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre. There are additional town facilities that have cultural use including four community centres, four seniors’ centres and two youth centres.
