Ă€ propos

Created by John as a heartfelt way to bring the community together through creativity, this special portion of our Live Art Competition invites everyone to pick up a brush and contribute to a shared masterpiece. The Community Canvas celebrates the vibrant spirit of Brampton, diverse, expressive, and united through the arts.

The activity takes place while our panel of judges is carefully reviewing the submitted artworks. It's a fun and meaningful way for the public to stay engaged, get creative, and be part of something beautiful.

As part of Culture Days, the full Community Canvases Collection from Live Art competition will be on display starting Friday, September 19, from 5 PM to 10:30 PM, until September 27 at Gallery 35. 35 Queen St. West Downtown Brampton.

Join us to honour the artists, the community, and the creative spirit that brings us all together.

Organisateur

Gallery 35

Gallery 35 has cultivated an accessible public space for everyone to enjoy, appreciate, and celebrate all that is art as well as the many artists who create it. Nurturing the future potential of ALL artists, Gallery 35 will also serve a special purpose, to benefit Indigenous artists through a unique endowment fund in affiliation with Algoma University’s Brampton campus.

Gallery 35 was founded on the principle that art is not just for the few, but for everyone. Through our dedicated endowment managed by Algoma University – Brampton, 30% of gallery profits will be donated to Indigenous Art Students. Throughout his lifetime, gallery founder John Cutruzzola, an Artist, Builder, Sculptor, Classical Singer, and Philanthropist, has constructed buildings as art in the public domain. He has nurtured his creativity through all these forms of art, and hopes to grow Brampton’s artistic spirit with the addition of a downtown gallery.
