À propos
Michaela Helliwell is a glass painter whose work is rooted in tradition and a deep appreciation for reclaimed antique materials. Drawn to the stories held in old glass—its textures, imperfections, and history—she uses centuries-old techniques to transform fragments into functional stained glass pieces for modern spaces. Her work bridges past and present, combining beauty, utility, and craft. Through both restoration and original creations, she explores how line, colour, and form interact with light, carrying forward a tradition influenced by medieval windows and the enduring spirit of makers before her.
Paul Singleton is the artist behind The Stonehouse of Campbellville, home to Canada’s largest private collection of over 2,000 antique stained glass windows from England, Scotland, Wales, and Toronto. Specializing in both restoration and modern stained glass artistry, he preserves the beauty of historic pieces while creating new works using centuries-old techniques. The Stonehouse’s showrooms are filled with treasures from the 1880s to 1940s, alongside a remarkable collection of vintage stained glass lamps, reflecting a lifelong dedication to conservation, craftsmanship, and artistry.
